Another court case for Berlusconi

12:58 pm on 8 February 2012

Former prime Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi is to face another trial next month.

It means he is now fighting four cases at the same time.

The new charges accuse Mr Berlusconi of leaking transcripts of phone calls recorded in a secret wiretap in order to damage a political opponent.

The documents appeared in a newspaper belonging to his brother.

Mr Berlusconi, who resigned in November, denies the charges.

He is already on trial for corruption, tax fraud and paying for sex with an underage prostitute.
