A suicide car bomber has killed at least 10 people in the government quarter of Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.
Police told the BBC the vehicle was parked close to the Hotel Muna, which was once popular with politicians. It was bombed in 2010.
Seven people died at the scene and three more after being taken to hospital. More than 20 others were injured.
The al-Shabab group has claimed responsibility for the blast on Wednesday afternoon.
The attack took place on the day of a visit to the city by the European Union's new special envoy to the Horn of Africa, Alexander Rondos.
