A 28-year-old woman has died of dengue fever in Fiji following last month's flooding in the Western Division.
The Health Ministry says 23 cases of dengue fever, 16 cases of leptospirosis and 14 cases of typhoid have now been recorded.
Regional commissioner for the western division Joeli Cawaki says health authorities are monitoring closely the areas hit by flooding.
He says the message to people in those areas who feel sick is to call for help.
Mr Cawaki says those people will be taken to hospital and authorities will help in any way they can.
A report in the Fiji Times says the dengue fever victim, who was a mother of one, died four days after Lautoka Hospital failed to admit her.
