Since Maree Sheehan's nomination in the most promising vocalist category at the 1993 Music Awards the singer-songwriter has spent more time behind the scenes than out front. She now lectures at Te Ara Poutama - the faculty of Maori Development at AUT - and mentors young musicians, but this week she releases a new album Chasing the Light.
