Formed in Los Angeles but now back in Auckland, the band Debbie and the Downers is based around the songwriting partnership of former Pluto members Milan Borich and Tim Arnold. The self-titled debut album was recorded at Milan's home studio and finished off in Los Angeles, a city where Milan has carved out a life in through a variety of paid gigs - not all music-related.
