Theatres throughout New Zealand are being transformed into mythical fairylands for the Royal New Zealand Ballet's latest offering. World-renowned choreographer Liam Scarlett has joined up with the ballet company to produce A Midsummer Night's Dream, based on Shakespeare's play and with Mendelssohn's music. The ballet premiered in Wellington on Thursday and tours Christchurch, Auckland, Rotorua, Palmerston North and Napier. A Midsummer Night's Dream is a co-production with the Queensland Ballet.
