Radio New Zealand introduced a new series of print and television advertisements in 2009. The focus of the new campaign is on iconic and traditional New Zealand images, featuring classic Kiwi items presented as model radios.
As a public service broadcaster, Radio New Zealand gives all New Zealanders a voice, it gives our culture a voice, and Radio New Zealand is an essential part of the New Zealand way of life.
Each model represents a different aspect of New Zealand life or a service provided by Radio New Zealand networks. The models include a caravan, a farm shed and a pavlova. Maori and Pacific cultures are also represented.
The radio models themselves are beautifully crafted works of art in their own right and were created for us by Weta Workshop in Wellington. They will be used by Radio New Zealand for many years to come and will be the foundation for a series of promotions spread over the next two or three years.
NavigationThe Kiwiana Radios Menu is on the left. On each page is video of each radio's respective television commercial, as well as links to desktop wallpapers in various sizes, and a preview of the desktop wallpaper design.
You can also navigate through the pages by using the 'previous' and 'next' links at the bottom of each page.
To download the wallpapers simply right click on the link and 'save target as' or 'save link as'.
