Baby Apple Pies with Blue Cheese
I think an apple pie without cheese is like a kiss without a squeeze.
- 2 pkts feather flake pastry
- 1 tin of sliced apple or use fresh and leave the skins on
small block of blue cheese
- large muffin trays
- fresh cream or ice cream laced with whisky
- brown sugar
- 1 beaten egg mixed with 1 tbsp of milk
Preheat oven to 180c
Grease muffin tins
Roll out pastry or better still used pre-rolled and use a cup to cut size to suit muffin tins
Place pastry into tins then spoon in heaps of apples along with chunky bits of blue cheese, spinkles of brown sugar and a drop or two of whiskey.
Put a lid on each wee pie, brush tops with egg/milk mix and bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
