About the author
Bob Kerr grew up in Wellington and in Tokoroa. He illustrated two picture books, Lucy’s Big Plan and Lucy Loops the Loop before working with Stephen Ballantyne on Terry Teo: Terry and the Gunrunners; Terry and the Yodelling Bull and Terry and the Last Moa. His own junior novel, The Optimist, won the 1993 Best First Children’s Book Award. After the War was short listed in the 2001 New Zealand Post Book Awards for Children and young adults.
