In January people gather from all over Aotearoa and indeed all over the world at the Parihaka International Peace Festival set in the sprawling King Country under Mount Taranaki.
Rumours of hangi for breakfast, poetry in tents and security men on horseback was more than enough to lure Melody Thomas to the event, where she captured some of the magic to share with us.
