Part 4: 1964’s country’n’western tinged Beatles For Sale tends to be overlooked, especially in comparison to 1967’s iconic Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, but it has some fine Lennon/McCartney compositions nestled in with the rock’n’roll covers. For Sgt. Pepper, The Beatles, their producer and engineers pulled all the musical stops. We revisit both albums, including some alternative mixes and out-takes.
