Travels in Italy is presented by the NZSO with guest viola player Antoine Tamestit.

Music Director Emeritus James Judd conducts.

For centuries, Italy has been a magnet for travellers and tourists, artists and adventurers. Even for those who have never set foot on the peninsula, it has long been a place of inspiration for music, art and literature. Each of the three composers in this programme had a different relationship with Italy, but all were inspired by its landscape, culture and history.
