1pm Live from the Michael Hill International Violin Competition in Queenstown
The women are in the box seat for this year’s Michael Hill International Violin Competition: 17 out of the 18 contestants are female. There’s a lot at stake with prize money of forty thousand dollars and a chance to launch an international career.
In this two-hour special broadcast, Upbeat talks to some of the key players, including judges, former winners, accompanists and those behind the scenes.
