Director Frances Moore brings her company UnstuckOpera to Auckland's Basement Theatre  for the first time. She's directing Purcell's Dido and Aeneas recomposed and conducted by Alex Taylor. Singers run riot and witches wreak havoc in this playful, heartbreaking promenade opera.

Irish comedian Tommy Tiernan has a reputation for being controversial due to his ability to make fun of each country's scared cows. What he will pillory on his Out of the Whirlwind New Zealand tour starting tomorrow is anyone's guess but you can be guaranteed it won't be tame.
