Ever wanted to visit a moonscape? Now’s your chance with an Anthony Ritchie/Stuart Hoar opera coming to CubaDupa this weekend. The opera tells the story of Apollo astronauts meeting moon-stranded characters. Director Jacqueline Coats explains what’s involved and how the audience will help transform Cuba Street into the moon.

1.30 The Living legend of Candide

Famed Australian thespian Reg Livermore is taking to the stage for New Zealand Opera’s Candid by Leonard Bernstein. The opera opens on Friday as part of Auckland Arts Festival. He talks with Lynn Freeman about his long, eventful career.
