Wellington-based professional choir Inspirare is bringing Rachmaninoff’s All-Night Vigil (Vespers) to life this weekend; it will be the first time it’s been performed in the Capital for many years. Artistic director Mark Stamper tells us why the Vespers suits the acoustics of St Mary of the Angels so well and how he has empowered his choir to conquer the work's demands.
