From Upbeat, 1:00 pm on 22 June 2018

Peruvian-born conductor Miguel Harth-Bedoya is a familiar figure to New Zealand audiences, especially in Auckland where he was Music Director of the APO from 1998 to 2003.

He’s been described as “a master of colour, drawing idiomatic interpretations from a wide range of repertoire in concerts across the globe”.

Miguel is back in the country to work with the NZSO in two programmes including music by Gareth Farr, Brahms, Mozart, Beethoven and Tchaikovsky.

He talks with Upbeat about his long relationship with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra in the USA, and also his zero-waste lifestyle.
