14 Solomons MPs sign Gun Free Declaration

A total of 14 Solomon Islands parliamentarians have now publicly declared that they and their families do not possess guns or ammunitions.

The gun free declaration is a bipartisan initiative and it has so far been signed by three government ministers and 11 opposition MPs.

Those to sign include two former prime ministers, Francis Billy Hilly and Manasseh Sogavare, and the opposition leader, Patteson Oti.
