The environmental group, Greenpeace, says it has stopped what it says is the export of illegally logged timber from the Kiunga Aiambak project in Papua New Guinea.

It has barricaded the crane of a log ship loading at Umuda Island.

Greenpeace says that last month the President of the Lake Murray Resource Owners Association visited Port Moresby to ask the government to stop all logging operations in the area.
