Two months after the biggest shopping center in American Samoa was destroyed by fire, police have yet to inform the owners of the cause of the fire.
Although the police said last month that they had identified the source of the fire, the Laufou Shopping Center company has not been given a complete police report.
However, the vice president of LSC, Barry Forsgren, says the company is still moving forward with the planning of a new and better center.
The new development is expected to be completed by either Christmas or Easter.
Mr Forsgren says demolition of the current site will start next week and he says the company is in the final stages of the bidding process to secure a contractor.
The fire on April the 20th displaced 15 businesses and about 200 workers.
