Samoa's supreme court has adjourned for nearly two weeks the case of against Faamau Taufete'e who has been charged with murdering a plantation worker last month.
The chief justice says this will allow the 21-year-old accused to get a lawyer to represent him.
Taufete'e has been charged with killing Anisi Laiele, who died after being hit in the back by seven bullets.
A witness reported that the hooded gunman fled on a horse after firing the shots in an incident on a coconut plantation in Mulifanua.
