Starkist Samoa is moving forward with a three and a half million US dollar improvement plan for its Atu-u production plant in American Samoa , which includes the renovation of its dock.

Approval of the renovation project is expected to create additional jobs.

It is expected the work will be finished in October next year.

Starkist Samoa's general manager, Phil Thirkel, said such a major project was a clear indication that the company would continue to invest in the territory.
