The Cook Island is working towards developing renewable energy projects on certain islands in the country using wind power.
Director of Energy, Mata Nooroa, says a meeting is to be held to finalise the tender documents for the implementing stage of a wind power project on the island of Mangaia.
Among the goals at the meeting which is being held on the island of Mangaia includes looking at ways at how the region can develop their renewable energy proejcts and also how and who to source funding from.
Mr Nooroa says they will also be looking to implement the wind project on other islands.
