12:31 pm on 29 July 2002

The Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum, Noel Levi, has held talks with the Solomon's Prime Minister to discuss a report on how the region can assist Honiara.

A Forum Eminent Persons Group has put together a report looking at the current political, economic and security situation in Solomon Islands.

The Solomons leader, Sir Alan Kemakeza, was given an opportunity to go over the report before it is presented at the Forum meeting in Fiji next month.

Mr Levi said the report was an example of the way the organisation members can help to implement the Biketawa Declaration on good governance.
