A former Fiji prime minister, Sitiveni Rabuka, says he is looking to sub-divide his land on the island of Vanua Levu and make it available to displaced farmers.
Mr Rabuka told the Daily Post newspaper that he will spending time there and won't be able to devote as much time to his SVT party.
He made the comment after reportedly walking out of a party meeting that had selected him as its secretary general.
He says he doesn't agree with the accusations made against him.
The paper did not say what the accusations are.
And Mr Rabuka says he doesn't think he can work with people who hold grudges.
