There is further criticism of government spending in Solomon Islands as the Prime Minister Sir Allen Kemakeza travels to Isabel province.

He is to tour police stations and other government facilities in the province in a trip that will reportedly cost the provincial administration around ten thousand US dollars.

Critics say the money would be better spent on the province's run down hospital services and other basic infrastructure.

Sir Allen has been attacked for travelling with an entourage to Suva for the Pacific Islands Forum meeting and Johannesburg for the Sustainability Conference, while government delegations have attended other overseas events, such as the ACP conference in Nadi.
