In Solomon Islands, three men from the Guadalcanal plains have been arrested and charged with murders of a woman and three children, and the attempted murder of seven others.
The deaths occurred when gunmen shot at a vehicle on the plains in early September.
The attack left several people wounded.
Four other men have been charged with an armed robbery in the same area last week.
All have been remanded without bail.
The police commissioner, Morton Sireheti, has thanked the public for a tip off which led to the arrests.
He has also commended police for their efforts.
Solomons police have rarely made arrests over killings since the unrest began more than three years ago.
