The Solomon Islands Christian Association is pleading with the teachers not to strike during the examinations.
SICA says the country understands and sympathizes with the difficulties the teachers are experiencing because of the Government's failure to pay their wages.
But it says that the children should not be victimized further.
SICA has condemned the Government's handling of the issue and says it needs to be truthful and honest with its workers.
It says if there is not enough money to pay workers then Government Ministers must also share the pain by forgoing some entitlements, such as overseas trips, and taking cuts in pay.
