Four youths on Niue have been convicted and discharged for unlawful entry of the US Navy Seabees base at the Niue Youth Centre.
It follows the conviction last month of three US divers who had beaten the offenders, who were believed to have taken about twenty thousand US dollars of their diving gear.
The divers were reportedly angry at a lack of police action over the thefts.
The US government has said it understood the divers frustration but they should not have taken the matter into their own hands.
The divers could still face military censure in the US.
