Vanuatu Green party officials have began legal proceedings against a former Green MP, Keasipe Song, for what they claim is a breach of contract.
A Green party spokesperson says Mr Song had promised to help the party through his MP allocation if elected.
However, Mr Song has since joined the National Community Association.
The Greens says Mr Song cannot run away from his obligations, while Mr Song says the Greens do not have the power to take him to court for swapping parties.
