The publisher of Vanuatu's independent trading post newspaper has announced the publication will make history by becoming "The Vanuatu Daily Post", beginning next month.
The former Briton Marc Neil Jones, now a naturalised citizen, says the Daily Post will be published Tuesday to Saturday.
Mr Neil Jones says they've been publishing three times a week for a couple of years, and the time is now ripe to become a daily paper.
"There's enough news locally and internationally to warrant a daily and although the economy is not particularly brilliant here I think that we could get ourselves established and grow with the economy and it would also give us the opportunity to carry some more positive news I feel that you know we do need to balance things more and going daily will give us that opportunity"
Mark Neil Jones has already taken over as editor of the newspaper from long time editor Len Garae in order to have a more hands-on grip over the content of the paper.
