Another shipment of rice, clothing and other materials has been handed out in the people of Tikopia in the Solomons who were affected by cyclone Zoe earlier this year.

The SIBC a spokesman for the National Disaster Office, Brian Beti, says Tikopians living in other parts of the country travelled with the supplies to help with the distribution.

The Solomon Island Broadcasting Corporation says a volunteer team from east Malaita had also started to repair and rebuild classrooms destroyed by the cyclone.

Mr Beti said vegetation had started to rejuvenate, but warned that the people of Tikopia and Anuta still needed help to fully recover.
