Meanwhile, our correspondent in Solomon Islands, Dorothy Wickham, says the Solomons government will meet next week to finalize a bill to allow foreign troops into the country

"Deputy attorney-general Ranjid Hewagema, says until the attorney-general, Primo Afeau, returns from Australia after holding talks with his counterparts, details cannot be finalised. Currently the Solomon Islands Police Act only allows the deployment of foreign police officers not members of the military. Mr Afeau is currently in Sydney as part of the country's delegation holding talks on the proposed Australian-led foreign intervention."
