Fiji's national airline, Air Pacific, is to take delivery of its second Boeing 747-400 jumbo jet tomorrow.

While the new aircraft is costing in excess of 100 million US dollars, Air Pacific's chief executive, John Campbell, says it will earn much more for the airline and for Fiji.

The aircraft will be flown on four services a week to Los Angeles, once a week to Auckland and on daily services to Sydney.

Air Pacific has also acquired four new generation Boeing 737-800 jets, and has an option on two Airbuses.

The airline made a record profit in the last financial year ending in March.
