The Prime Minister of Solomon Islands Sir Allan Kemakeza is assuring law abiding Solomon Islanders that they have nothing to fear from the Australian led intervention to restore law and order.

He says, in a very short time, the country will be welcoming hundreds of regional neighhbours, who will be there to help not harm people.

Sir Allen says the force will be in Solomon Islands for a very short time to help break the cycle of crime, greed and corruption that has plagued the country for many years.

He says Solomon Islanders will find it strange at first seeing foreign police and soldiers in the country, but the majority who live peaceful and law abiding lives have no need to be afraid.
