Papua New Guinea police say that the Port Moresby suburb of Gerehu is quiet after a spate of tribal killings in the past two weeks.
One person was killed at the Tete settlement on Sunday, but police say it is now calm there.
The Post Courier newspaper reports police say they have no motive for the killing of the Goilala man but he was murdered at the same spot where the first death occurred.
That killing, of a Tari man, sparked retaliation against the Goilala people which claimed ten lives and resulted in nearly 100 being arrested for murder.
The killings have led to calls from political leaders for tougher laws including the use of the death penalty.
