In Papua New Guinea, supporters of two candidates in the Southern Highlands repeat elections have clashed outside the Waigani courthouse in Port Moresby.
The violence left once person seriously injured with a knife wound and several others were arrested.
The large crowd had gathered to observe four petitions that were to come up for a directional hearing.
Petitioner James Lagea, who is disputing David Basua's win in the Kagua/Erave seat, says the clash was between their two supporters.
Court Officials says they are aware of the incident but are waiting for a report from their chief of security before any action can be taken.
