PNG police give suspects warning after brutal killing

Papua New Guinea police have warned they will hunt down suspects in the brutal murder of a young mother on the outskirts of Port Moresby last Friday.

Metropolitan Superintendent Emmanual Hela has warned parents and leaders they would be rounded up if they didn't hand over the suspects to police by the end of the week.

Mr Hela says they have arrested three suspects who have been charged with abduction, rape and murder, but nine others who police know the identities of, are still at large.

He says the murder was "animalistic and brutal" as the woman was stabbed several times in her breasts and abdomen, as well as having her toes cut off.
