There has been no agreement on the Supreme Court-ordered formation of a multi-party cabinet for Fiji.
This is despite another round of talks between the prime minister, Laisenia Qarase, and the Labour Party leader, Mahendra Chaudhry.
The sticking points are the number of Labour seats in the cabinet, the allocation of portfolios and the total size of the cabinet.
No further talks are scheduled for this week as Mr Qarase leaves tomorrow to attend the Pacific Islands Forum summit in Auckland and Mr Chaudhry will be at a meeting of the International Labour Organisation in Bangkok.
More talks are likely next week but Mr Chaudhry says he doesn't want the negotiations to extend beyond the end of this month.
