Fiji's information minister says the opposition's plan to form a new coalition is the a reciple for political uncertainty and instability.
The opposition leader, Mick Beddoes, has suggested a new coalition government as a way out of the current impasse on a multi-party cabinet.
Mr Beddoes says the way forward is through a coalition between the Labour Party, the pro-coup Conservative Alliance Matanitu Vanua Party , the New Labour Unity Party, his United General Party and independents.
The information minister, Simione Kaitani, has told the Daily Post that such a plan will take Fiji back to the days of the coup in 2000.
Mr Kaitani says the current SDL coalition government has given Fiji political stability because of its leadership, sound policies and unity.
