Three people have died in two separate fires in Fiji this week.
Radio Fiji reports that an elderly couple died in a house fire in the farming community of Olosara near Sigatoka in the early hours of this morning.
The couple's daughter and son-in-law managed to escape the blaze.
Late on Monday morning, a sickly man in his 40s perished in a blaze in the inner city suburb of Toorak in Suva because he could not open the door of the locked house.
Police and fire authorities are investigating the causes of the two fires.
