The Solomon Island's Prime Minister, Sir Allan Kemakeza, has thanked the Regional Assistance Mission for the excellent work done in the one hundred days it has been in the country.

In an interview with the Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation over the weekend, Sir Allan said there were four important issues his government was determined to tackle.

They are law and order, stabilisation of government finances, economic recovery and developing an alternative system of government.

Sir Allan said thanks to RAMSI, law and order had returned, government finances had been stabilised -- enabling public servants to be paid on time -- and education and other important services have been restored through budgetary support.
