A Solomon Islands police sergeant, on the run since April after being charged with murdering a former police commissioner, was only yesterday suspended from the force.
Edmund Sae was accused of gunning down Sir Frederick Soaki in a restaurant in Auki on February 10 this year.
Sae was arrested a month after the attack but escaped in April with the suspected help of fellow police.
There has been no concerted effort since to try and recapture him.
