The governor of the Central Bank in Solomon Islands, Rick Hou, has blamed the country's sick economy on what he calls a rottenness in the Solomons political structure.
He told a meeting of the government and development partners that unless political leaders at all levels of government had a visions for their country, it would be difficult for the Solomons to move forward.
The Solomon Island Broadcasting Corporation reports tht Mr Hou said the political situation in there was very under developed.
He said many people who ended up holding ministerial positions had no leadership experience even in their rural communities.
He said often politicians seemed to represent nothing but themselves
