Fiji army boss determined to pursue coup probes

Fiji's military commander, Commodore Frank Bainimarama, says he is determined to bring the plotters of the May 2000 cop to justice.

Commodore Bainimarama has told Radio Australia that he has the support of his troops against tainted politicians in the government linked to the coup.

He said he is not satisfied with the pace of current investigations and wants to see all those involved in the coup brought to justice.

But he says many of those implicated in the coup are still walking around free.
