Up to ten Cook Islands hospitality and tourism students will gain experience at a five-star metropolitan resort in Canberra in the near future.

The chance came after a memorandum of understanding was signed between the

chief executive Dr Peter Veenker of the Canberra Institute of Technology and Cook Islands Tourism Corporation's Chris Wong.

The memorandum will also see students in Canberra go to Cook Islands.

Chris Wong says another significant development is that CIT will assist the Cook Islands center in developing courses to diploma level.

The programme of the Hospitality Training and Tourism Center in Cook Island is substantially funded by NZAID.
