A final agreement between the landowners, the developer and the investor forum, on the Vaimaanga Hotel project in Cook Islands, is expected to be signed next week, after which ground reassessment work at the site will begin.

The developer Tim Tepaki confirmed this after talks this week with the Prime Minister Dr Robert Woonton and the landowner Pa Ariki.

He says they agreed the Tepaki group would pay 1%of the construction price to the landowner and this was the final hurdle needing to be cleared.

Mr Tepaki says now it's up to the lawyers to get all the procedures done.

"Tepaki group consultants and everyone else are gearing up to go the week following the 8th, everything should be signed beforehand because it has to."
