A leading Cook Islands businesswoman has announced she will go up as an independent candidate against the head of the Cook Islands Party Sir Geoffrey Henry at the next general election.
Jessie Sword is the second high profile independent to stand following businessman Brett Porter.
The Cook Islands News quotes her as saying she is fed up with current politicians and wants change and reform in the government.
