A book which documents the impact of the civil war on the Papua New Guinea island of Bougainville is being launched in Australia.
The book, "As Mothers of the Land" is a collection of the views of 11 Bougainville women on the pain, loss, hardship and deprivation they experienced through a decade of war and blockade.
It has been compiled by Josephine Takunani Sirivi, the wife of former leader of the Bougainville Revolutionary Army, Sam Kauona, and Marilyn Taleo Havini.
Ms Sirivi was the founding President of Bougainville Women for Peace and Freedom and has been a key figure in the process of bringing peace to the island.
