Cook Islands experience said to have helped in South Pacific Mini Games bid

The Vice President of the Palau National Olympic Committee, Bill Keldermans, believes the Cook Islands has learned a lot from past mistakes.

His comments came after the Cook Islands won the right to host the South Pacific Mini Games in 2009 over Wallis and Futuna, at a meeting in Palau at the weekend.

Keldermans says there was also another factor in the Cook Islands' win...

"I think they're getting a little better at presenting bids, because their bid four years ago against Palau, we beat them so they've learned from their mistakes."

But I think that one of the reasons they were probably successful this time is they have some facilities alreasy whereas Wallis and Fortuna doesn't have any.
